How does skipping a year of admissions impact students?
For most students, the impact will not be too great. If the 5 year program was kept as is, students admitted into Fall 2011 in the 1-5 program would have a graduation date of May 2016. With the switch, students admitted into the 2-4 program in Fall 2012 will also have a graduation date of May 2016. A 5 year program starting in 2011 would end the same as a 4 year program starting in 2012. So it may sound funny in skipping a year of admission, but students will complete the program in the same time frame. And we will not skip a graduation year.
