In traditional data storage solutions, a file system (such as shared folders or NFS mounts) organizes data in physical directories. Typically, end users do not have the ability to pull data from several directories together into a logical grouping, or Collection. In SRB, all data is organized by Collections independent of where the data is physically stored. This creates a much more productive work environment for both Administrators and end users.
