How does St Benedict School create more time to talk to parents?
The school decided to change the format of consultation evenings and base them around tutor groups. Unlike teacher-led meetings the tutor sessions allowed parents to stay in one place and talk to just one person, rather than spend time moving from teacher to teacher. That requires all information to be available in one place so tutors use Facility to provide details of targets, attendance, events, assessments, reports, exam results and personal information so they can have fully informed discussions with parents. “It has become a quality event serving many purposes, not least providing real dialogue between a member of staff and a parent about the whole child. Facility has been at the core of this,” said headteacher Chris Reynolds.
