How does standard net metering work?
The electricity produced by the solar power system is fed directly to your main switch board in parallel with the mains power to power your appliances directly. Excess unused power is fed to the grid via a standard revenue meter. The meter shows one accumulated reading of total power consumed from the grid or fed to the grid which is indicated on your electricity invoice.
