How does Steal work?
There are actually two parts to Steals formula. The first is dependant entirely on level: [% Probability of a successful Steal] = [Characters level] + 50 [Enemy’s level] However, you can make a successful Steal and still not get an item. This is because you have an 87.5% chance of stealing a common item, and a 12.5% chance of stealing a rare one. However, some enemies do not have an item in either slot. If you try to steal from an empty slot, it will be the same as if you did not make a successful Steal; you will not get an item. The Thiefs Bracer will double the [% Probability of a successful Steal]. It will not affect whether you get a rare or common steal. Note that the effect of the Thiefs Bracer on Stealing does not stack, so using 2 Thiefs Bracers on 1 character is pointless. For example, say a Level 40 Locke with a Thiefs Bracer is Stealing from a Fiend Dragon in Kefkas Tower.
