How does STRUDS® design flat slabs?

In STRUDS®, user can model rectangular flat slabs in the building structure. The flat slabs will be supported on columns with or without drops. The flat slabs design is done as per the coefficients provided in IS:456. The boundary conditions of flat slabs are identified by STRUDS® automatically from the plan layout and corresponding BM coefficients are taken from the IS code tables to calculate the moments in slab. The slabs are then designed for these moments.
