How does the African American civil rights movement connect to the issue of Violence?

0

The African American civil rights movement connects to our current civil rights issue because we are experiencing almost the same thing. Minus the race discrimination, we still face violence and killings. Though we don’t necessarily have a problem with whites killing blacks, our situation is increasingly devastating. We have a problem of not only whites but blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Chinese, and any other race you can think of, killing each other. We have the police on our side, well, not all of the police but we’ll make due with what we have. We need all the help we can get. Each year, the death rate increases rapidly and that’s because the superior ones aren’t doing their jobs properly. The citizens are getting reckless and the government needs to take certain steps to ensure the safety of those who cannot defend themselves. On second thought, the citizens shouldn’t even have to protect themselves because no one should be committing crimes.
