How does the Army look upon under-age drinking?

0

The military enforces the mandatory drinking age of 21, even on bases overseas where the drinking age is often lower. Of course there will be bars off base that will look the other way..same as in any town. However, keep in mind if you are caught breaking those regs, you can find yourself pulling extra duty, confined to barracks when you aren’t working, even loosing rank and pay grades or spending time confinement if things are bad enough. And if you get caught driving after drinking while underage, you can probably count on being discharged from the service. In general, it is better to follow the UCMJ rules than to break them…because if you get caught the punishment is not going to be a verbal warning.
