How does the BAX-3000 Allergen database compare to other treatments?
The BAX-3000 is the only device that captures the real frequency of each substance, and all individual components of that substance. This group is counted and listed as one item when it is represented in the breadth and scope of the BAX-3000 library – in other words, only the sum of the parts is counted. Currently, there are 4,000 substances in the main library and an additional 96,000 substances in the advanced libraries. The BAX-3000 database is larger then any other, and provides you the highest level of diagnostic specificity available anywhere. Practitioners should be leery of systems claiming to have twenty or thirty thousand substances. Some alternative products on the market offer misleading representation in that they count each component as a separate substance, rather than as a group. This misleads users to believe that a much larger number of allergens are included in the test process.
