When the cardholder calls the CardEx Customer Service area or goes to the web site to activate and register the original card, the cardholder information will be obtained and the cardholder can request a personalized card (the Replacement Card fee will be charged) if they choose. Or they can request a personalized card any time prior to expiration. Upon receipt of the new, personalized card, the cardholder will call Customer Service or visit the web site to activate the new card. At that time the funds remaining on the first card will be transferred to the new personalized card and the original non-personalized card will be closed.
