How does the Electronic Postmark work?
When you schedule a bill payment, the Postal Service postmarks the payment with a unique date and time stamp. The postmark helps identify the payment and confirms that your payment was scheduled. The EPM is updated if you cancel or change any element of the payment (date, amount, or payee). Note: The USPS Electronic Postmark is automatically applied through WebPay at no additional cost.
