How does the Fidelity Brokerage link account option work?

0

The Fidelity brokerage link is a retail-type brokerage account with the NUSCO 401k Plan that allows participants with the opportunity to select from thousands of mutual funds and other investment options, such as stocks, bonds and CDs. Once the account is opened, the Fidelity Cash Reserve (money market) fund is used to initiate transactions within the brokerage link account. Participants can get market stock and mutual fund quotes and other details necessary to make prudent investments. Participants can purchase Fidelity and non-Fidelity mutual funds. Other mutual funds families are available with and without sales loads and transaction fees. Participants can also initiate real time stock trades and can access information regarding their investments. Participants also have access to fund prospectuses and the Fidelity commission schedule prior to the initiating and confirming any trade.
