How does the geography of Kenai Fjords affect the type of tasks performed?
• As a class, or in small groups, go to the Kenai Archaeology Interactive to explore the everyday life of a community. Discuss the tasks, implements and setting. • Divide the class into groups and assign a different life function to each group. Using a large sheet of paper, have each group create 1 panel illustrating what village life might have looked like in performing the group’s assigned task. • On completion, have each group present and describe its panel to the class. Then, after each group presentation, post the panel on the wall until they all form a kind of diorama.
