How does the gray wolf protect itself?
In an “up-close-and-personal” way, the wolf will warn off threats by baring its teeth, by growling and by raising its hackles. It has a thick coat, those marvelously effective canine teeth, and its paws and claws to help it survive. Couple this hardware to the finely tuned senses and its practiced habits, and you have a predator that is built to go the distance and eke out a living even in lean or hard times.
