How does the hypothalamus belong to the endocrine system?
The hypothalamus is basically the mastermind of the endocrine system.It controls both anterior pituitary and posterior pituitary. Although the hypothalamus itself doesn’t release any hormones, it makes the hormones oxytocin and antidiuretic hormone which are stored in the posterior pituitary until it is told by the hypothalamus to release it.
