How does the Independent film producer differ from an established Hollywood heavyweight?
They are light years apart. The Independent film producer still has the excitement — the vision, the art. They are not plagued by big studio politics. They can hire a new, unknown writer, or buy a script from a non- WGA member. Big studio producers don’t have that luxury.
