How does the Last Supper of Leonard da Vinci represents culture?
In many ways.As you know,there was a big emphasis on classical Antiquity during Renaissance and the human beings were the topic.Remember that during the Middle Ages, most of the Byzantine or Gothic images_for example_ ,were derived from traditional types, passed on from artist to artist.On the other hand, during Renaissance they tryed to achieve an impression of solidity,realism,so mastered perspective,light,shade and so on.It has much to do with the culture of that time…a time of discoverings, emphasis on human beings and development of science.You may see all that in Last Supper of Leonardo.
