How does the Living Air Classic or Breeze compare to the Sharper Image unit?
(See the comparison chart which lists the differences) The Ionic Breeze has been out for about 4 years now and is a great machine. The way it works is it has negatively charged stainless steel rods inside the machine which attract the particulates from the air as the air is pulled through the unit. These rods need to be wiped off every week to two weeks. Their top of the line machine costs 499.00 and also has a UV light inside and minimal ozone output. The coverage however is only up to 500 sq. feet. They are made in China and have a 3 year warranty. The electric usage is pretty much the same as classic, but it is really only effective in the room that it is in.
