How does the Pathways Programme relate to the Cultural Leadership Programme?
The Pathways Programme enables students to critically analyse the cultural sector and study in detail particular areas within it, including the main functions performed by and within cultural organisations. It is intended to enhance participants’ understanding of the parameters within which cultural organisations operate, and to develop the critical acumen and competences they need to work in the cultural sector. The Cultural Leadership Programme seeks to develop this critical understanding of the cultural sector, but with a specific focus on the role and responsibilities of cultural leaders. Building on participants’ experience of working at managerial level within the sector (and occasionally transferring in at this level from other sectors), the programme is designed to enhance existing knowledge, skills and confidence.
