How does the pendulum work?

The information from the pendulum comes through me, not from me. The pendulum picks up on universal life force, collective unconscious, and subconscious. This is a subtle, but very real energy. It is available to us all the time. The pendulum helps me to access this energy.

The pendulum works by reading our subconscious mind, in much the same way a hypnotist can hypnotize a person using subtle suggestions and a pocket watch. For us to see the conscious effect of the pendulum we must be aware of the sleight muscle contractions in our arm, when we ask our question. When we ask a question that we already know the answer to, such as is the earth round? Then we can intentionally think an opposite answer. The pendulum will now swing to our conscious thought, no, the earth is not round. The pendulum can be a very useful tool to determine our subconscious desires over our conscious desires. Eventually we become more and more aware of our subconscious thoughts and we will find that the pendulum only answers what we already know. There is really nothing mystical about pendulum magic other than what modern psychics have ascribed to it. When you get right down to it, the pendulum is only a simple form of self hypnosis.

If we look at the causes of the motion of the pendulum, we have to realise that it cannot move by itself. If you were to hang the pendulum on a fixed stand and wait nothing would happen. Neither the internal energy of the pendulum material, nor the energy of an object brought close to it, cause any movement at all. Exceptions of course are strong magnets and artificially created electromagnetic fields. There have been various attempts to explain scientifically why a pendulum swings. These explanations are very interesting, and here are some examples: Breathing Every person breathes roughly 16 – 20 times a minute. The chest is constantly in rhythmical motion. This transfers via the arm and the pendulum chain into the dowsing body itself and starts this moving. Emotional Arousal When we feel joy, fear, sorrow, euphoria this transfers into our breathing, our pulse and our blood pressure. This is supposed also to explain the various swings of the pendulum. We often have all the information we need inside of us, but we don’t always have access to it. The pendulum demonstrates before our eyes what’s in our subconscious mind and what’s in our best interest. I have read the research and there are many theories, but no one knows for sure. Even Albert Einstein who used it could not explain why or how it worked. Who uses it? When King Solomon visited the Queen of Sheba, he used a pendulum to find water along the way. Cleopatra and her dowsers used it to find gold. The Peruvians, Chinese, Hindus, and various other cultures have used a form of dowsing to find things. The Vatican employed a monk in the Middle Ages to find treasures that were missing using a pendulum. Our armed forces used it in the Vietnam War to locate landmines. Other great examples can be traced to corporations looking for resources, Nobel Prize winners, bonafide medical doctors, naturopaths, and acupuncturists. There are many theories about this. Perhaps the most popular is that all substances radiate electrical waves which, through practice, become especially concentrated in the body. Since these electrical field contains both positive and negative charges, our bodies function as supersensitive receiving sets, and the concentrated energy causes the pendulum to move. Using Your Pendulum The pendulum may be made of any number of materials, usually pointed at the end and suspended by a thread, string, or chain approximately 4 to 12 inches long. The pendulum itself may be of any comfortable size or may weight as little as one eighth of an ounce. It may be used with various charts as an indicator of information or it can be held directly over the body to locate weakness or disease. You will need to train your pendulum to work for you. First hold it over your right leg just above the knee. Now ask the pendulum to move clockwise for an affirmative/yes sign; then hold it in the same manner over your
