How does the school grades system work in the U.S?

Although many school systems across the U.S. have change their standards for entering school, I have put the basics down. Children can also be home schooled and given tests by the state to ensure they are learning according to other kids in their grade/age level. Many schools offer Advanced Placement/Honors/Gifted classes for the scholastically advanced as well. Scholastically advance also has the option of skipping grades. Our Schools are divided into three major groups: Primary(Pre-k to 6th Grade), Middle/Junior high (6-8grade/7-9grade), and High school (9-12grades). It’s up to the child/parent if they decide to go to Middle or Junior High School as well as what is offered in their neighborhood. We have Private, Religious and Public Schools. Some Public schools are called Chartered schools.
