How does the Skoda Octavia Vrs compare too the police version?
Contrary to popular belief, police cars in the UK are standard production, or lower spec than standard. they are not performance enhanced and never have been. The standard Octavia VRS will be better equipped than the police version with the same performance. If you look at many performance police cars, you will see that they come without various extras, like sunroofs for example, they were standard on Cosworth Sierra’s, the police cars didn’t have them. The only upgrade in my experience, were the brakes on Volvo T5’s, they were bigger in police spec due to the weight they had to carry. Gibsonessgee (i’ve got one of them!) Yes police cars are serviced more regular, but having driven them over thirty years, I wouldn’t buy one to keep chickens in!
