How does the star spangled banner show nationalism?
The Star Spangled Banner was written during the war of 1812 against Britain. Francis Scott Keys wrote it as he was standing on a British ship watching the battle at Fort McHenry. So the song/poem shows the nationalistic and patriotic views of the author, as well as those who had also been removed from the fort, as they watched and saw that their flag still stood, signifying their victory.
