How does this partnership between The Wonder of Reading and KCET Community Television work?
When you make an ongoing sustaining donation to KCET during our June member drive, you’re helping fund our programming and operations. That’s where most of your contribution is going. Usually, you might choose a traditional thank-you gift like a backpack, t-shirt or a tote bag, which costs KCET money and has additional shipping costs. For those who choose to give the gift of library books to elementary schools instead KCET will do so with through The Wonder of Reading. We’ll take that expense of gifts we normally send you and use it to provide brand-new school library books to elementary school libraries renovated and restocked by The Wonder of Reading in disadvantaged areas of Los Angeles County.
