USAID’s family planning programs range from health to social to technical interventions and assistance. USAID supports programs in more than 60 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union at the host government’s request. The Agency’s strategy for family planning is to provide high quality, voluntary health care services that are easily available to many people.
