How does water temperature and cycle choice affect laundry results?
Washers typically have at least three wash and rinse temperatures: hot/cold, warm/cold and cold/cold. Most offer a variety of wash cycles, such as Delicate for slower agitation and less time, or Heavy for a rougher, longer wash. Other options include Extra Rinse, Prewash and preprogrammed buttons to deal with specific stains. White and colorfast clothing usually go in warmer temperatures, while bright, vivid colors usually go in cold water to keep them from fading. By using different temperatures, you will have better-looking, longer-lasting clothing.
