A. Feng Shui is the Ancient Chinese Art of Placement. The first evidence of Feng Shui is found in China as far as 6,000 years ago but it did not acquire coherence as a separate discipline until about 300 AD, when the oldest school developed. There are two major schools of Feng Shui: Form School and Compass School. All other schools stem from either of the original two. The two schools have aspects in which they agree and aspects in which they vary widely. The oldest school of Feng Shui is called Form School, which is based on the observation of the environment and people’s interaction with their surroundings. The system I practice stems from Form School. Compass School was developed around 1,000 AD and is largely based on Chinese Astrology.
