How durable are the grip frames on Ruger P-Series pistols?

Our aluminum frames are a hard-coated, aircraft grade aluminum alloy (A356) that has been heat treated to a T61 condition. They are hard-coated for toughness and wear resistance by an anodizing process, similar to that employed in the maintenance of the U.S. M-16 rifle receiver. We also offer pistols with a custom compounded polymer frame with long-strand fiberglass filler. As with any pistol, there is a possibility that the frame can be damaged when dropped.
