How famous do they think about new twilight movie trailer?
It’s no surprise that Twilight has become such an event that even trailer views are cause for a news story — or at least a press release. Summit sent out a missive today proudly proclaiming 10.6 million views of the trailer’s first week online (about 8m on MySpace and slightly less than 3m on MTV.com, in case anyone’s counting). Of course there’s no way to know how many of them are repeat views — just as there’s no way of knowing how many will see the pic who don’t watch the trailer. The trailer itself, if you haven’t seen it, strongly plays up the Rob Pattinson angle — he (as Edward, for those of you without tween affiliations) occupies more than half of the nearly two-minute spot, even though his role in the book (and, possibly, the script, is much smaller). Of course the scene is all about him leaving. Pattinson’s star is so bright millions tune in just to see him go. Sources:
