How far apart should you have children

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to your question. You should space your children based on what you feel is right and your ability to cater for them. Just make sure that you have fully recovered from the previous labor especially after a caesarean section.

A spacing of at least two years between kids will allow you to breastfeed for a reasonable time and get some breathing space. I believe that this kind of spacing will also reduce the likelihood of postpartum depression.

A lot of people like to only have one child in diapers at a time. So approximately 2 years apart. Also remember that just because this is your plan, sometimes the best laid plans don’t work out. I tried for 3 years to get pregnant with my second child to now my children are 4 years apart. No matter how far apart they end up being, they are family and you will love them and adapt to the situation.
