How far is the working range of IEEE802.11b WLAN Adapter?
It depends on the data transmission rate and the condition of the environments. The higher the data rate, the smaller the range it could cover. At 11 Mbps, the adapter can go up to 300 meter in an outdoor environment; however, in an indoor environment, it can only go up to 100 meters. Because of the ceilings, higher RF interference, interior walls and reflected signals, indoor range is usually shorter than outdoor range.
