How far was the weimar republic a success? history coursework?
I suppose they did keep Hitler out of power for as long as possible. The Weimar constitution had a system of proportional representation, so even when Hitler won the most votes, he didn’t automatically become Chancellor. Some people have blamed the voting system in Germany for the success of the Nazis but I think that’s a bit far-fetched. Of course they returned to a PR system after WW2.
