How fast does KONAN Cataloger catalogue videos?
In case of ingesting from a file stored in a hard disk, the cataloguing speed can be faster than realtime. For example, a 1.5 Mbps MPEG-1 video can be catalogued 8 times faster than real running time with a dual Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz system. When ingesting directly from VCR output, broadcasting signal or satellite signal, the cataloguing speed cannot be faster than realtime input.
