How fast should your clubhead speed be to hit an X flex shaft?

To be honest with you, that’s a hard question. Unfortunately there is not a uniform flex that all the shaft companies use. Once you figure out your swing speed, check the shaft brand that you want to hit, and check the swing speeds that are designated for the different models of shafts. For instance, I have a pretty slow swing speed, yet I’m hitting a stiff flex on my Cleveland driver. The Fujikura shaft that’s on it now would be like hitting a “regular” flex shaft for different models. Good luck with your Game!!! PS…you might want to check out Golfsmith’s website…they list all the shafts and the swing speeds for the different models shafts in the “clubmaking” section. Hope this helps!
