How feasible is it for the U.S. to seek a peaceful solution with the radical elements of Islam?

It’s about as feasible for Islam to seek a peaceful solution with the radical elements of the US, and that’s what you should be asking. Muslims make up a small, but definite part of the US. Both ‘sides’ need to make concessions. While ‘radical’ Muslims are radical because of extreme poverty and political disenchantment, the US has grown fat on the misery of Americans and others.

There is radical elements in all religions ,not just the one mentioned in the question. The media unfairly is centered around one and ignores the others.I think that with knowledge and understanding there is always a peaceful situation.Mahatma Gandhi did this in India with radical elements between the Hindus and the Sikhs. We have much to learn from his methods.
