How good is the twlight, vampire book series that seems to be so massive at the moment?
Meh, Twilight is okay. I’ve read the whole series and enjoyed them while I was reading them, but I haven’t re-read them (and I’m the type of person who re-reads books over and over again). I would say, entertaining but forgettable. And I was probably 28 when I started the series (I am 30 now). A better vampire series, in my opinion, is the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. The HBO series True Blood is based on these books. No, they aren’t literature, and yes, there are continuity and grammar errors in the earlier books especially. But they are great books with a very strong female protagonist who could kick whiny, needy Bella’s butt any day. They are also written specifically for adults rather than teenyboppers. Hope that helps!
