I'm an insurance broker (non-captive agent). The first three years are the hardest but you can work from home. Or, you can work for an agency as a financed agent (they pay bonuses and usually double your commissions.) If you want to go independent like me, all you need is a phone, Internet, fax -- and good leads. You have the licenses, all you need is the marketing and a general agent to work with.
