How hard is it to get into Wharton School / Columbia Business School / Harvard Business School/ Kellogg, etc?
If you just graduated, then you have a few years to think about this. To get into a top ten MBA program you need the following: High undergraduate GPA. This is less important for an MBA than it is for am academic degree. A GPA in the 3.5 range will be OK High GMAT score. Something over 700 is good. Three to five years of work experience. The top schools are leaning more towards five years now. The kind of work you do is important. Working for a top company is good. Working overseas is good. Working for a start-up could be good if you frame it correctly. Good recommendations from people who actually know you. Your admissions essays and interview are critical. Dress in business attire for the interview. Your undergraduate major doesn’t matter. But the quality of the school you went to does matter.
