How healthy is popcorn?

Popcorn by itself is actually very healthy. Without butter or salt, it’s low calorie, low fat, low sodium, and because it’s a whole grain, it provides loads of fiber. It’s also very filling, and you can eat three cups of it as a serving size as opposed to, say, a small handful of chips. Ideally you should air pop it, but if you do go with a hot plate and oil, be aware that the oil will add fat and calories, but if you use a healthy oil with good fats (like canola) it won’t be so bad. I don’t know what oil you have in mind to use, but look into finding the kind with the “good fats.” I love popcorn! My favorite thing to do is sprinkle a garlic powder on mine! Or a little parmesan cheese. Or both! This tastes great and isn’t too evil in the health department. LOL Good luck.
