How high is the water level supposed to be in the first clear tube (riser)?
• We recommend maintaining the water level no more than 1 into the riser tube. When the water level is above 1, the water becomes turbulent and the foam is less stable. You can wet skim by adding more air. • Is there such a thing as too much air? • Yes, there is. If you open your air valve more than necessary, the bubble size will be compromised (too big) and your skimmate will be very wet. The more pressure you build before the bullet injector, the finer your bubble size. • Can I use too big of a water pump? • Yes, but it would have to be very large. Please follow the guidelines in the table of the your instruction manual for pump size. Choose the largest pump with the table for your model for best results. • How often do I need to clean the injector? • This depends upon your mechanical filtration before the water hits the injector. If large debris is drawn into the pump feeding your skimmer, the debris may get trapped in the injector passages, decreasing its performance. • Additives
