How important is forgiveness in human relationships?
Extremely important so you can get on with your life. As humans, we are all flawed, and if it is something forgivable then do it. I believe there would not be any relationships of any kind without forgiveness. Make sure you tell the person you forgive them too. If that person(s) has done something you can’t forget and it’s so damaging that a relationship is impossible for you to sustain, then tell the person and move on. You can still forgive the person even if you can’t or shouldn’t be around them. If you have no forgiveness…..you have no compassion. If you have neither, you are an empty and lonely person and unable to “grow” in life. This is not to say that a person can keep doing the same things over and over again and be taken back. Only an individual can determine what they can handle and what they can’t. Forgive each other as God as forgiven you.
