How intensive is training?
The OTF Training Institute concentrates a great deal of training into only a few weeks; thus, training is extremely demanding. Due to the critical role that training plays in the success of the Oakland Teaching Fellows program, Fellows cannot miss any portion of training. A typical day includes planned activities from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., in addition to Fellows’ lesson preparation and other assignments to complete outside of the scheduled day.
