A medication containing a wormer is given orally. You can buy these over the counter, at most pet stores. Most wormers that kill round worms will also kill hook worms. But read the ingredients on the package. If the main ingredient is Piperazine, it will not be effective on hook worms. Make sure you give 2 treatments to make sure you kill the larve.
