How is aluminium extracted?

0

The first step in extracting Aluminium is to remove it from the Earth. The difficulty in this is that Aluminium is never found isolated in the Earth, but instead bound to other materials. For more information, look here: http://sam.davyson.com/as/physics/alumin…

To get it out of the ground we have to go through the mining process. Since aluminium is not an isolated material even if it is in abundance. The material is attached to other elements. Then you mix it with other chemicals and another process which removes the impurities by a filtering process, you let it boil to remove the water and aluminium is the result.
