How is Even Start – National Tuition Program being administered?
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations is responsible for overall management of the program. The department has contracted government, Catholic or Independent education authorities Program Administrators in each state and territory to support schools’ participation in the program. Program Administrators have contacted schools with detailed advice about how the program will operate (for example, arrangements for notifying parents of their child’s eligibility for the program, and processes for registering eligible students). The department has also contracted Curriculum Corporation as a Private Tuition Coordinator to manage the tutorial arrangements of eligible students where parents/caregivers choose to have tuition conducted by a private tutor.
