How is Fluoride used internally and / or externally to prevent tooth decay?

If your water is Fluoridated and you drink it – that is a INTERNAL APPLICATION. If your water isn’t fluoridated you can obtain internal fluoride via prescription Fluoride tablets or drops to fluoridate your child’s water, or purchase fluoridated bottled water. More recent research has shown that EXTERNAL APPLICATIONS, like those applied in our office during your childs regular cleaning appointment, are more effective than internal applications.
