How is information gathered at the site to report to the registry so it can be analyzed and reported? Is there a paper data sheet, electronic spreadsheet, some other method?
When a hospital joins the NRCPR, they receive a comprehensive fulfillment package that will help support their data collection efforts. Among many other things, the fulfillment package includes data forms and software used to collect and enter data, and also perform comprehensive data quality checking. Participants electronically submit the “non-confidential” portion of the data to the NRCPR Central Site, where it is loaded into a central data system. This submission typically occurs at least once a quarter. Once loaded into the Central Site system, reports are prepared for each participant and made available over the web.
