How Is IPL Photo Facial Performed?
The treatment area is cleansed of any residual make-up or creams. A cold clear soothing gel will be applied and a glass prism (pyramid) will then be placed over the gel and treatment area. An intense flash of light, or pulse, is flashed through the prism where it is directed at the treatment area. The initial treatment may not be as aggressive as your following treatments so as not to possibly damage the skin and to determine your skin’s tolerance for further intensive treatment. Ice packs are placed on the treatment area immediately post treatment to rid the skin of heat left in the surrounding tissues. Treatments are usually performed every 4 weeks and may be suggested in combination with other facial rejuvenation treatments to obtain the desired results.
