How is Martin Luther King a Christian role model?
Dr. King’s dream catapulted him from a local church to the congregation of the United States of America itself. Through following Paul’s instruction, Dr. King saw a future where a man would not be judged by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character. Was Dr. King perfect and god-like in everything he did? No. Are any of us perfect and god-like in the things we do? No. Leaving out the myth that has replaced Dr. King and looking at what he actually was and stood for is the only way we can see the Christian role model he was. He believed the word of God to be true and he tried to live his life that way. He stands as a Christian role model on those grounds alone.
