How is MEA implementing MCE?
The County of Marin and eight participating cities and towns have formed a Joint Powers Authority for purposes of offering CCA services to customers beginning in 2010. The Authority has negotiated and executed the initial energy supply contract with Shell Energy North America to provide electricity to customers and other technical services required for the program under a public/private partnership model. Under the contract, two distinct renewable energy supply options will be offered to program customers.
